Although participating in his first full practice since the operation, there is still no timetable for his return as of yet. He is listed as out for Thursday night's game against the Miami Heat.

Before this season, Nowitkzi has never missed more than nine games in a single season. He has adjusted his timetable to return a few times since the operation two months ago. He originally stated that his timetable to return would only take six weeks. Then, it was revealed that he may not be back until mid-December. Now, Dallas fans are looking at a target return date sometime between Christmas and the New Year, according to Nowitzki.

Dirk had a knee issue two seasons ago, when he missed nine games and the Mavs went 2-7 in those games. Nowitkzi came back and led the Mavs to their only championship.

Dallas has fared better this season without their former MVP, posting a record of 12-13 so far without the big German. The Mavs take on the defending champion Heat tomorrow at American Airlines Center.
