The Dallas Mavericks travel up to the Northwest Tuesday night to take on the Portland Trail Blazers for the first matchup of the season in Portland between the two teams.
The Mavs are looking for their seventh victory in nine games, as well as their third straight over Portland.
However, the task will be a difficult one, as the Trail Blazers have one of the best home crowds in the NBA, and All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge has averaged 27 points in his last five games against Dallas.
Dallas dispatched Portland in a matchup at American Airlines Center on November 5th, routing the Blazers 114-91. O.J. Mayo had 32 points and Darren Collison had a season high 13 assists in that game.
This is a rematch of the 2011 first round Western Conference playoff series, a series Dallas won 4 games to 2 en route to its first championship.
The game can be seen on TV on Fox Sports Southwest , and it can also be heard on 103.3 FM ESPNDallas.
Tonight's matchup tips off around 9:00 PM CT.
