After two gut-wrenching losses in overtime to a developing rival, the Dallas Mavericks will get a third crack at beating the Oklahoma City Thunder Monday night in OKC.
The Mavs have lost two games this season to the best team in the Western Conference after having leads in the fourth quarter. Those matchups hit overtime, with the Thunder emerging victorious, the last time on the strength of Kevin Durant's career-high 52 points.
Dallas will get Dirk Nowitzki back after he missed two games with a leg injury. However, Mavs' sixth man Vince Carter stayed at the team hotel this morning because he was ill, and he may or may not be available for tonight's matchup.
The Mavs have played OKC very competitive this year, and it will take an almost perfect performance to finally get over the hump against the Thunder, winners of 13 straight at home against Western Conference teams.
The game can be seen on TV on Fox Sports Southwest, and it can also be heard on the radio on 103.3 FM ESPNDallas.
Tip is around 7:00 PM ET.
